How to Participate in a Hearing

Review the Hearing ScheduleFind the city and dates that are closest to you or most relevant to your experience.

Confirm the Date and LocationCheck back before you travel. Dates, times, and venues may change.

Register to Attend or TestifyFollow the registration link or contact NCRRRI using the information on our Contact page to sign up to attend or request to speak.

Prepare Your Statement or MaterialsWrite down the civil rights concerns, events, or patterns you want to share. Bring any documents, photos, or records you are comfortable providing.

Understand Confidentiality and ConsentAt the hearing, you will receive information about how your testimony and records may be used. You will be asked to give informed consent before sharing.

Arrive Early to Check InPlan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the hearing start time to check in, confirm your registration, and receive any instructions.

Participate in the HearingWhen called, share your experience in your own words. You may also submit written testimony or materials for the record.

Ask Questions and Request SupportIf you have questions about the process, accessibility, or safety, speak with an NCRRRI staff member on site or contact us in advance.
